- Avoid products containing benzoyl peroxide, alpha hydroxy acids, and chlorine bleach. These may include skincare and acne medication, hair products, cosmetics, toothpaste, and household cleaning products.
- For stain removal, try Oxyclean instead of bleach.
- Do not use fabric softeners, dryer sheets, or harsh detergents.
- Wash separately from clothing with zippers or hooks to prevent abrasion.
- Wash similar items together – same color and fabric.
